Church

I went to church tonight, Cathedral of Hope, and it was truly amazing! After the service we were invited to help move the stones that were surrounding the footprint of the new Interfaith Peace Chapel. There was an amazing feeling in the air as we all prayed and then each took one of the large stones and moved them so that ground could be broken. I am really grateful that I was able to be a part of it. I moved 5 stones this evening. The concept of the Interfaith Peace Chapel is, there should be a place for people to gather and worship regardless of their faith. I love my church.

I'm going to get my hair cut, tomorrow possibly. I know I want it short, MM has suggested getting a cut that I could spike up if I wanted to, I think that might be cool. I just hate the way it flips up when I wear a cap, it just looks dumb. So I'm trying to figure out what style I want. I'll probably go to Zen Salon tomorrow and see what the stylist things would be a good style for my hair.

I really do miss my truck, I was telling a friend that I feel like I got neutered. However, my new car is really growing on me. I love that it's quick and sporty, the interior is really nice and its roomy. It is a Toyota Camry LE . In metallic gray. So long really cool butch truck, hello sporty car (this car is by far the sportiest that I've ever owned) I am suprized that some people my age have owned a ton of cars, I've had three,

1st- 1988 Bronco II - it rocked, held a ton of friends in high school
2nd- 1999 Kia Sephia - it was ok, great car for a college student
3rd- 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab, with a Hemi - kick ass truck, suck ass gas mileage

So if you see me tooling around in my new car, wave hello!

My students ROCK!

I don't post much about work (school) but today I am thoroughly impressed. My students had a project that spanned several subjects. Math, English, and Social Studies (my class). Their task was to create a community. This had to include a three d model, food, flag, map, radio and tv comercial, family budget, and at least three occupations that would be found in their community, many of the kids made clothing too. They really rocked this project, I'll post pictures late, but damn, I am in awe of their many tallents.

There is too much going on this week!!! Everynight there is something. I sold my saltwater aquarium which is good, I'll probably be able to afford a bed for my apartment. Yea, else I'll be sleeping on my couch for a while.
